Single Outlook file for Exchange and POP accounts

Post by jmt356 »

Is it possible to have an Exchange account set up with an Outlook file (such as an OST or a PST) and then have POP accounts added to that same Outlook file. Or do I need to create one OST for the Exchange account and a separate PST for the POP account?
Regards,

JMT

My understanding is the Exchange account will use a OST and the POP does use the PST.

NOTE: also IMAP type will use a OST file also

Once the POP account is established I believe you can change the folder to which mail is delivered to be the Exchange account inbox. However, you may lose the account association for email delivered that way. You may not be able to reply using the POP address. You'd have to experiment to find out.
