How to bypass Microsoft Start page when launching Edge
Whenever I launch Edge, I come to Microsoft Start landing page, which displays unwanted news, weather, ads, etc. How can I get Edge to bypass Microsoft Start and land directly at the link that my home button is programmed to open or get it to open to the link shown under "Open these pages" under "When Edge starts" in Edge Settings.

Right-click everything on the start page and if there is an option to remove/delete it, select that.
Comb through the settings (click the gear icon) and turn off everything you don't want.
This is my Edge start page:

Alternatively, you can install an extension such as Blank Tab.

Re: How to bypass Microsoft Start page when launching Edge
I don't see "everything" on the start page.
When I go to settings, I have an option to turn off certain features, like the weather, but what I would like to do is bypass Microsoft Start altogether and go straight to my Home link when Edge starts. I am able to achieve this in Chrome. Is there no way to bypass Microsoft Start altegether?

Do you have a specific reason for wanting to use Edge instead of Firefox or Chrome?

Chrome is already reserved for my internet searches so I want to use Edge for an online app.

Why do you need different browsers for that?

If I am understanding you correctly, you want Edge to open to your "Home" page when Edge launches?jmt356 wrote: ↑22 Jun 2024, 16:13When I go to settings, I have an option to turn off certain features, like the weather, but what I would like to do is bypass Microsoft Start altogether and go straight to my Home link when Edge starts. Settings>Start, home and new tabs>When Edge Starts>Open these pages:>Add a new page> and then type the url of your "home" page.
You can then (under the Home button section) select "Show home button on the toolbar", and then type in the same url and save this setting.
I've used Edge almost since its introduction and this has always worked for me.
