Get tabs to appear below the address bar in Edge.

Post by Peter Kinross »

I have had tabs appearing below the address bar for a long while. Today Ad Aware reset my search engine to Yahoo. Grr. I undid that, but now the tabs are above the address bar. How do I get it back to where I want it?
Bing gives this answer:
To move the tabs below the address bar in Microsoft Edge, you can follow these steps:
Open Microsoft Edge.
Click on the three dots in the top-right corner of the window.
Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
Scroll down to the Appearance section.
Toggle on the switch next to Show tabs below the address bar.
Unfortunately, there is no Show tabs below the address bar, thus no switch!
My version of Edge says it is up to date. I am using Win 10.
Avagr8day, regards, Peter

Interesting. I never use Edge, but when I started it, the tabs were below the address bar.
Just like you, I cannot find an option to change this in Settings. Neither can I find it in the Windows Registry.
I closed Edge.
A while later, I decided to try again. Lo and behold - Edge had updated itself, and now the tabs are above the address bar.
Apparently this is a feature of this recent update...
You can send feedback from within Edge: press Alt+Shift+I
Best wishes,
Hans
