removing Reader Clutter

Post by ChrisGreaves »

Maybe this time I'll be the first to report something new ..
ReaderClutter.png
So I'm doddling through News waiting for a d/l to complete and I come to a CP24 report, click on the link, and up near the URL a little box appears along the lines of "Would you like to remove reader clutter?"
Well, I would, so I click (stupid of me in a way; who knows what a click on a new prompt can bring, right?)
Well, anyway, the clutter went away.

If I've done it right, the link above will take you to the news page, and you will get the invitation, or at least see the icon.
P.S. All of this and I am updated to Firefox 39.0 and all ... :clever me:

I guess I don't have any clutter in my machine.
I just get the normal info and no icon, just the Pan Am news site.
You really should think about updating that Windows 95 OS.

Oh No, Bob.
I stopped using Win95 some time ago. I'm modern nowadays.

I tried that link using Firefox 39. When hovering over the little icon you refer to, the tool tip says Enter Reader View. Clicking the icon seems to present you with a text only page devoid of all graphics and extraneous clutter. The icon then becomes a Close Reader View button that returns you to the original page. Neat.

Paul
