I tried, unsuccessfully, to add an account to my Gmail account and now when I go to Gmail I have a new window (“Select an account”). When I click my name, I am then taken to the sign-in screen. If I hit “Edit,” the option is to “Select an account to remove” – I certainly don’t want to remove my account.
Can I eliminate this “Select an account” window and go directly to sign-in window?
Thank you very much.

Once you have logged in, click the Tools (gear) icon below your username.
Select Settings.
In the Settings window, activate the Accounts and Import tab.
Do you see more than one account? If so, can you select a non-Gmail account and remove it?

Re: Gmail Select an Account screen
Hello, Hans -
No, don't see more than one account.
This may help -- or not: when trying to add another account, I had wanted to add my sister's Gmail account, not another in my name.
