Java Console

Post by Bigaldoc »

Every once in awhile, this popup shows up in the upper left corner of Firefox and I don't know why or how to turn it off. I've looked at About:plugins, addons and Control Panel's Java applet and can't see anything. It's easy to just make it go away (the Close button) but it's a tad annoying that it pops up when I least expect it and isn't because of an error - everything is working fine. In this case, as you can see, I was visiting the Atomic Clock in Boulder (NIST) to check my computer's clock AND my wristwatch.

Start the Java control panel.
Activate the Advanced tab.
Expand Java Console.
Select "Do not start console".
Click OK.

I waited a couple of day and just checked the NIST time page to check. The Java console window did not open.

Thanks again, Hans !!!
