Cookies - Firefox v Ccleaner

I notice that Firefox lists cookies (Tools/Options/Privacy Tab, Show cookies that Ccleaner does not list. Why this discrepancy? Thank you.

(Or am I mixing apples and oranges?)

On my PC, Firefox lists one set of cookies that CCleaner doesn't - they are for the Web of Trust extension (mywot.com). Perhaps it's because of the extension, but I don't really know.

For the record, I do not have mywot.com

Mywot.com was just an example - I was speculating whether the cookie(s) not listed by CCleaner were extension-related cookies rather than standard site cookies.
