For info...
Twice today I came across PCs where every time FF was opened it said it wasn't the default browser. Which was odd because IE is seriously frowned upon and completely isolated so FF was the default browser. It got more strange because even though I unticked the, always check on start-up AND I clicked yes to make it the default browser these settings wouldn't stick.
I suspect but can't prove, that this peculiarity has something to do with the recent Flash player 10.2 update as the arrival of that was the only thing about FF that had changed between 'no problem' and 'problem'.
I fixed the reappearing dialog by using the 'Set Program Access Defaults' dialog in the Add or Remove Programs control panel applet.
