Yahoo Search Engine for FF 58
Is it possible to have Yahoo as an additional search engine? I understand there was/is some kind of legal dispute going on. Is there a solution? Thank you

1. Make sure that you show the Search bar next to the address bar.
If you currently don't have it:
- Select Tools > Options.
- Click Search.
- Select 'Add search bar in toolbar'.
2. Go to https://www.yahoo.com.
3. Click the magnifying glass in the search bar.
4. Select Add "Yahoo Search".
If you currently don't have it:
- Select Tools > Options.
- Click Search.
- Select 'Add search bar in toolbar'.
2. Go to https://www.yahoo.com.
3. Click the magnifying glass in the search bar.
4. Select Add "Yahoo Search".

Re: Yahoo Search Engine for FF 58
Thank you, Hans, for what seems explicit instructions. However, even though I do have “Add Search Bar…” selected, when I enter in address bar the https://www.yahoo.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and go to an (empty)location bar and click the magnifier, I do not get the choice to add Yahoo. It only shows me my previous selected toolbars. And ‘change search settings. I does not show the green Plus sign, if that indicates anything…
My version of FF is 58.0.2 (64-bit). I just downloaded version 59 and still no ‘Add Yahoo search’
Been trying to figure this out since you responded to my query yesterday….

Re: Yahoo Search Engine for FF 58
I hadn't actually tried it myself, but it works for me in both 58 and 59:
As you see, I can now click on the Y to search with Yahoo. And Yahoo is listed in Options > Search:
(Now to remove it again...)

Thank you. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. And no, not surprisingly, Yahoo doesn't show in Options/Search.
As always, I thank you for your input and your time.

That's strange. It could be a regional difference - perhaps Firefox allows Yahoo as search engine in Europe, but not in North America...

The Yahoo search engine is allowed in Canada - I just added it as per instructions above.
