hi Hans, hope you are well,
do you know of a way to get around run time '70' permission denied ?
would a FileSystemObject be able to?
occasionally a locked/corrupt Access file's .laccdb file is not delete-able
haven't found a way via manual i.e. task manager or file explorer
went to a code solution using Kill but though it works in on opened .txt files it hits the 70 error on an actual .laccdb
force close or delete

Try Cedrick Collomb's free Unlocker
(As always with freeware, be alert for offers of extra software)

will save the link. not sure I can implement a 3rd party product in this case....
was hoping for something within authorized Windows world....
as always thanks....
looking for a way not involving getting users to close down their PCs - which will always do the trick with a locked up BE....
but is a hassle communicating to all the users....

As far as I know, there is no "native" method in Windows, except restarting.
Best wishes,
