FaceID?

Post by ErikJan »

I had several FaceID uitils (I use these sometimes during programming). In Excel 2010 none appears to work as intended. Is there working code somewhere?

What do you want FaceIDs for in 2010, if I might ask?

Have you seen this blog page? It has resources for the 2007 set of icons. Perhaps some keywords from that page would give you enough information to find the same in 2010.

I'm making tools which build and use menus and right-click context-sensitive menus, the FaceIDs givce me nice little icons on those menus. Are you suggesting there's now better ways to do this without FaceIDs? COuld you please let me know, maybe I'm too old-fashioned

Right-click menus still use FaceIDs (they are the same as before I think); other menus aren't done via VBA so the FaceID is irrelevant - you need the idMso to use in Ribbon XML.

Oops... that's Chinese to me; could you explain in two sentences what this is and how I could and/or should use that?

I can write menu's in the 'old' way...
