Find all table names

Post by silverback »

Hi, loungers.
Our user now requires us to change the name of a field in a table. This is currently used in lots of places.

Is there a reliable/safe/quick way to find every occurrence of the old field name in all the queries, forms, reports and VB modules, please?

Thanks

Try Rick Fisher's Find and Replace for Microsoft Access. It's an extremely handy add-in; you can try it for free for 30 days, and it's well worth the modest price.
Best wishes,
Hans

I second that suggestion! I consider "Find and Replace" to be a Must Have part of a developer's arsenal.

Thanks for the information.
Seems a little surprising that Access doesn't contain this facility, though.

It would have been a nice feature, but Microsoft prefers to concentrate on integrating Access with SharePoint.
