Auto Date Formatting

Hi all,

I having a file where all user need to input a date in cell C,due to user reluctant to input as date format I need to manual use text to column function to convert it to date format,so is there a FORMATTING that can auto convert as date format after user input. Example ,user will type in cell C, Jul'23,July'23,Apr'23,April'23, so is there any formatting can auto convert this after user press enter key.

maybe select cells where dates will be and use custom format mmm dd and then enter date(s)

An alternative might be to use data validation to ensure that the user only enters a valid date into the cell
