Row & Column selection Highlighting

Greetings!

Folks, I am using Excel 2007, and upon selecting a Row or Column, the row highlights a very faint color. Is there a way to change this highlighting?

The highlight color cannot be changed, but it should be a bright orange:

If it isn't on your computer, it might be due to the video settings. You might try fiddling with the advanced settings of your video card, or with the contrast of your monitor.

If that doesn't help, you could use Jan Karel Pieterse's add-in FollowCellPointer (latest version attached to this post, or Chip Pearson's RowLiner Add-In. Both have the disadvantage of disabling the undo feature of Excel.

I will take a look at the add-ins. (and yes, the Column and Row Headers turn the proper color). I am really meaning the entire Row selection color, not just the header cell of "A" or the Row Number itself.

I apologize for misinterpreting your question.

You can't change the background color for the selected range within Excel. It's a common complaint that this color is too light in Excel 2007, but it greatly depends on your video card/monitor.
