Defaulting to Centimeters

Despite selecting inches for the rulers it keeps defaulting to centimeters, any suggestions how to stop this please? Thanks Dave.

Are you sure the measurement is in centimeters? Word should remember if you set it to inches.

Yep Hans..... as the screen shot shows I keep selecting > inches > OK but it (for no apparent reason) defaults to centimeters. Regards Dave.

Try this first:
- Press Alt+F11 to activate the Visual Basic Editor.
- Press Ctrl+G to activate the Immediate window.
- Type the following line, then press Enter:

Options.UseCharacterUnit = False

- Switch to Word.
- Select Inches, and make sure that you click OK.
- Quit and restart Word to see if it has helped.
