In Word 2007, I've found that if I have text that contains parentheses, and I hyperlink the entire text, only the portion to the right of the left parenthesis is linked. The entire text assumes the Hyperlink style, underlined and blue in my case, but the stuff to the left can't be Ctrl+clicked. If I click the stuff to the right, the link works, but only the stuff to the right assumes the Followed Hyperlink (underlined violet) style.
E.g., Before clicking: Here is a sentence with a (small) link. After clicking to the right of the left parens: Here is a sentence with a ( small) link.
That's news to me. (And even more confusing to onlookers or readers.)

Re: Parens in Hyperlink Text
However, that result only happens sometimes!! I find other links in the same document with ( ) that work no matter where I click.
Oh well.
Oh well.

Re: Parens in Hyperlink Text
In a quick test, I was not able to reproduce the problem (I tried various combinations, with spaces /no spaces before or after the parentheses). That's not conclusive, of course, but I can't find any mention of this problem in Google either.
Best wishes,
Hans
