If I open Word 2010 clicking its icon, it immediately comes up with the message: Microsoft Word has stopped working, checking for a solution of the problem", and then nothing (of course).
If I click a Word 2010 document (*.docx) it opens normally with the document. If I then click the icon again, it opens normally with a new document.
I have already run repair (the diagnose test), which for Office 2010 has to be run from Programs and Features, selecting change and then repair. This did not help. Any suggestions please?

Problem solved!
It turned out that the updated version 6.01 of Office Tabs was the culprit. When I reverted to version 6.00 the problem was solved. Version 6.01 had "fixed all the problems with previous version"... Probably, but introded a new one!
