Office 10 lock ups

Post by RonH »

On a fairly regular basis, the task bars along the top 'freeze' such that you cannot move from eg Home to any of the others eg Insert, Page Layout etc. I use W7 with i7 processor and 8GB memory so it is not a lack of 'grunt'.

Closing down the programme (and the Documents Folders where it was accessed from) and opening again usually solves 'til the next time. It seems to occur more often in Excel.

Ideas please

Try Jan Karel Pieterse's Fixing Startup problems (it's not just for startup problems, but for problematic behavior in Excel in general).
Best wishes,
Hans
