Word and Excel not working

Post by geecee »

I have just reinstalled Office Home and Student 2013 installed on my PC but for some reason neither Word nor Excel work. Anyone any suggestions.

Problem solved

Thanks.

Sorry! I don’t really have a story to tell. I don’t know what went wrong, but it started when I tried to remove a nag screen
ScreenShot018.jpg
left over from the uninstalling of a programme called RoboSizer. Somewhere along the way something I did affected the installed Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 leaving Word and Excel not working, so I uninstalled the programme and reinstalled it but neither Word nor Excel worked. Since I am not that computer savvy, I turned to the old faithful System Restore and now all appears to be working OK, except for that nag screen which pops up every time I log on. It gives me three options, none of which I want so I’ll just have to keep closing it and carry on.

If you have CCleaner, you can use Tools > Startup to see if there is a startup item that is related to RoboSizer. If you find it, you can disable or delete it.

Hans,

Many thanks for your very quick response. I have just installed CC Cleaner and Start Up indicated two entries on my portable hard drive which I had no idea about. I deleted both and also deleted the folder on that drive. Everything is OK now.

Again many thanks.
