Setup:
I'm running Win7 Pro (x64) on an Intel X25M (G2) SSD. I would like to run a Win XP 32-bit guest VM using Virtual PC (not XP Mode).
Questions:
1) Do I need to be concerned about TRIM/Garbage Collection for the XP guest OS VHD or mapping to shares on the host?
2) If I copy an existing VM created on a HDD to the SSD do I need to consider cluster alignment for the VHD?
Thanks

No problem. I have found that there is virtually no info on this. I guess I'll start experimenting.
Thanks

Re: Win XP virtual machine on SSD
Please let us know what you discover. I also have a Windows 7 system with an SSD boot disk that hosts a Windows XP virtual PC, so it would be good to know the answer. Mine is running XP mode, so that may make a difference.
