Post by Dave Davison »

Hi....I just decided to add a pic to a folder for quick ID and followed the usual steps
ending with "Apply" & "OK" but it does not change the appearance, any suggestions please. Regards Dave.

The folder picture will only be visible in Thumbnail view (select View | Thumbnails). All other views display the default folder icon.
Best wishes,
Hans

Sorry Hans.... can you be a little more specific, having selected the pic and copied it to the folder as per my attachment, where does the "View & Thumbnails" tabs appear? Regards Dave.

They are not tabs. View is one of the menus in the menu bar of Windows Explorer, and Thumbnails is one of the items in this menu.

You need to select this menu item to switch to thumbnail view, the only view in which your custom folder icon will be displayed.
