Windows 7 Task Manger seems very poor compared to XP. Half the time it won't come up at all if some application has locked up. Since it won't appear I often have to just crash the machine by switching it off. Has anyone seen a message: Windows Task Manger not responding? I've had this more than once - never saw it with XP. Are there any settings/changes to give Task Manager the performance it used to have with XP, or any other ways to kill off an application if it hangs? Thanks,
Chris

Re: TASK MANAGER FLAKEY
I have certainly seen delays when trying to start Task Manager on Windows 7, but I don't know what can be done about it.

Re: TASK MANAGER FLAKEY
If Task Manager won't come up by right-clicking the taskbar and selecting it from the popup menu, I can usually activate it by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc or by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del, then Alt+T.
Best wishes,
