Sticky Notes

Post by Roderunner »

Hi Folks, I have been playing with the built-in version of Sticky Notes on my Win7 32bit Home Prem. Laptop. To me, its as useful as a chocolate teapot.
On one of my Bowls websites http://www.lbaweb.online/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; a Sticky Note appears everytime I access it.
Do you know of a better app?

Regards,
George.

Do you have a Google account? I find Google Keep very handy. It works on PCs, phones and tablets and synchronizes among them.
Best wishes,
Hans

I use the Google Keep too. Its always improving and I can access my notes from anywhere!
Certainly worth a try George (available for FREE through a Google account (if you have one)).

Rudi

Hi Hans, Rudi & StuartR,
Its not exactly what I was looking for. It was more to have a note appear when accessing certain places
Yes I do have a Google account, but only use it for its Email setting functionality. To read or send, I used Win Live Mail till it was replaced in newer windows versions. I now use Thunderbird. I dont have Google as my Home Page I use this site

You can use Keep even if you don't use Gmail as mail client. But keep does not pop up automatically at specific places, so if you want that, it doesn't suit your purpose.

Hans

How about Stickies?
•Stickies can be attached to an application, web site, document or folder so they only show when it's on screen

Hi Hans,
I'm afraid its back to the drawing board. Stickies are not behaving as I want them to.
I could attach them to where I wanted but on reopening that place, they did not appear automatically.

Hi George,

I'll just dump the whole lot on you and you can wade through the options suggested (if you desire).

See the alternatives to Stickies (ie: FREE sticky notes type apps from various sources and suppliers.)

Rudi

Thanks Rudi, will have a closer look later.
In the meantime, I will continue in my present form.
P.S. I am not getting notified of new posts in this thread.
