Great reading Rudi; thanks.
As I drifted off to sleep, wandering through time zones last night, I contemplated the small business still running Win3.1 on a 16-bit machine with Word 6.0 to prepare invoices for printing on a dot-matrix printer.
It seems to me that such a user (and variants thereof) are probably immune to today’s malware which, surely, is designed to run on 64-bits and exploit weaknesses in browsers other than Mosaic.

You make a valid point. If one had to go back to those archaic apps and OS's, you will not need antivirus and malware. Who's going to target these users and write malicious code that's compatible with such old software. Brilliant Chris, you might be onto something.
