Re: Arise, Sir Hans!
Sir Hans your daily contributions and the helpful friendly atmoshphere made this lounge a place to frequent with or without problems to solve. I must admit watching the various threads evolved always bring joy and amusement to my daily computing world. I joint your friends here to sincerely thank you and congratulate your achievement. It's hard not to notice what you have done here and the people that made their fair share of contributions. Thank you to all others like Sir Hans as well because you made this a better place each visit. Have a wonderful day Sir or shall I say Sirs.

Re: Arise, Sir Hans!
I notice that this thread does not show in the recent threads* list on the portal, even though there are unread posts (for me). I assume it is something to do with it being pinned in announcements? I only noticed that there were new responses by looking at the board index and noticing that lounge matters was lighlighted red.
* Edit: I mean 'Latest News' in the portal.

Yes, it's because this thread is an announcement. Eventually it will be turned into a standard thread.
Claude and Bob, thanks to you too!

Re: Arise, Sir Hans!
In comparison to all of those who have contributed to this thread I am a relative new commer but I must say I was rather down when i failed to see Hans answering questions for a while...I was not aware that you were on holiday. However I was delighted to log on and find the absence was only temporary. My sentiments are a carbon copy of those above..... Hans, you are just the greatest, not only in knowledge but in tact, courtesy and patience; A THOUSAND THANKS FOR EVERYTHING. SHALOM DAVE.

Congratulations Hans. I think it's been said before, but...what took Redmond so long?

Quote from a Microsoft website (found after suffering through many Microsoft broken links): "The MVP Award recognizes inspiring, trusted, and independent experts who voluntarily share their passion and knowledge of Microsoft products with others."
Hans, you are all of the above and more. Thanks again for when you have helped me and many others with your sage advice.
