Changing Skins
No, I'm not about to ask how to change the 'skin' I use. As you can see from my UCP, I use Latte Red.
This post's redisplay.
When I reply to or make a post and that post is then redisplayed, it appears in what I think is SubSilver as shown here.
Do I have something set wrong? Does anyone else have this problem? This post's redisplay.

Re: Changing Skins
Let's test this - I switched to Latte Red for the moment.
When I click Preview, it is still in Latte Red.
I'm now going to click Submit.

Re: Changing Skins
The page still used Latte Red when it was redisplayed after submitting. I'll now switch to my test user Dopje who has no special privileges.
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: Changing Skins
How are you changing skins?
If you use the BOARD STYLE dropdown in the portal then this just uses the URL to store your new skin, and can lead to inconsistent results If you use the My board style: drop down in the control panel then it should stick

Re: Changing Skins
Bob's screenshot in the first post of this thread shows that he set the skin in his user control panel.
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: Changing Skins
I guess this could still give a strange result if he followed an old link that had an embedded board style, but other than that it should be OK

Re: Changing Skins
I think I'll try changing skins and see if the problem follows the changes.
If you have other suggestions, I'm all ears (to reference another thread )

Re: Changing Skins
I changed the skin to ProSilver then displayed several pages. All seemed normal but I didn't try a post to see what would happen. I have now changed to Latte (not Latte Red) and make this post to test what will happen.

Re: Changing Skins
I have once again chosen Latte Red and test to see the effect.

Re: Changing Skins
I think what Bob is seeing is yet another variation on the 'spontaneous log out' bug thst has plagued us for a very long time now. I say this because something similar happens to me every now and then.
I'm logged in and so I see The Lounge in my chosen skin (Elegance), I submit the post and I'm logged out, so I see The Lounge in the default skin.

Re: Changing Skins
My instance was not associated with an unexpected logout. It happened every time I made a post. On pressing enter, I received a display of my post in the default skin, aka style. On returning to the list of threads, the skin reverted to my chosen Latte Red.
After switching back and forth a few times to ProSilver, then back to my preferred Latte Red, the problem has disappeared. If it returns, I shall report.
