Whenever a major update arrives on the scene I always use my backup system (ShadowProtect) to backup the system drive before upgrading. Standard policy for me. The backup took 26 minutes creating a 81GB file of compressed data.
Then off to the races to download and install the 22H2 update released today. Started at 1402 performing the download, install and restart. All completed at 1404 ... and that is not a typo! Two minutes!
The only thing I could think of as to why the fast update, is that the download had occurred in previous days and only required to turn on a switch or two. That has got to be the fastest update ever experienced. I even went back into the Settings to confirm that there were no other updates, there weren't any. And the Update History info was valid.

It looks like Microsoft already installed it, waiting to be activated.
Best wishes,

YUP, I was thinking that perhaps it came with the Win10 monthly updates on October 11th.
