Hello team
I am creating name ranges and when I use them in charts, I see the name of the tab prior to the name of series is changed to something else.
However edit links is inactive.
How to take care of this?
The name of tab is sheet!nameofnameranges is changed to something else.
Regards,
Bita

Re: Link to other workbooks
Hello Hans,
I inserted a chart and started adding name ranges to the chart. But, the name tab with Exclamation sign should be before the name ranges when we want to add a data series to the chart. When I finish adding data to chart, the name of the tab changes to the tab where the data source of pivot table is on.
I hope this makes sense.
I am grateful to you.
Bita

Could you provide screenshots of "before" and "after"?
Best wishes,

Hello Hans,
I don't know what the reason is and perhaps I need more testing. But this is resolved if I make the x-axis static. Excel automatically changes the name of the tab to where the source data is coming from. Once, I made x-axis static, the values are not jammed to one site. But I want to make x-axis dynamic so whenever I don't have values for series, then those series are not displaying on the chart.
Respectfully,
AAusli,
