Here's the Owl Cluster in Cassiopeia from 22/11/20.

Captured with NINA.

22 x lights at 120 seconds, 125 gain, -10°
5 darks, 20 flats, 20 flat darks
Stacked in Deep sky stacker, processed in Gimp.

If you stare for long enough you will see his eyes, his body and then his out stretched wings!

Is it me or is your image a image mirror of most of the images that show up in a Google search for the owl cluster?

I'm sure you are always round the right way Ken!

My images however are upside down and back to front! My telescope is a Schmidt Cassegrain Catadioptric design and the camera is mounted directly on the end without a diagonal mirror. The stacking software might invert the image in one plane but I'm not sure! I'll get a full Moon shot and check perhaps.

My mother, a Wise Old owl if ever there was one, had eyes in the back of her head.

The 30/11/20 eclipse is penumbral and sets as viewed from SE England soon after it starts. So, no.

You should get a good view of it from Texas although you need a good dark sky to see a penumbral shadow.
