Keyboard and language

Post by RonH »

Just invested in a more powerful pc and have met my usual confusion
I have/need a Norwegian keyboard setup but with British English language. The best I can seem to achieve is Norwegian with US English. Scrolling to other downloads does not solve

Is there a way to solve this ... not a serious issue but frustrating at times!

Does this work?
Select Start > Settings.
Select Time & language.
Select Language & region.
Click 'Add a language'.
Scroll down and select 'English (United Kingdom)'.
Click Next.
Click Install.
'English (United Kingdom)' should now appear in the list of installed languages.
Click the ... button on the right hand side.

Select 'Language options' from the popup menu.
Scroll down and click 'Add a keyboard'.
Select Norwegian from the list.

Thanks Hans.
However, now with the latest Windows 11 update 23H2 I get lost when I get to 'Select Language Options' & Norwegian QWERTY. These settings do not seem to exist ... maybe they are called something else?

It's 'Language options'

The screenshots in my reply are from Windows 11 24H2, by the way.
