Windows 11 Classic Desktop, etc.

Post by hlewton »

I do not have any computer with Windows 11. However, I may be ordering one soon and would like to ask can Windows 11 Pro use the Classic Desktop, Classic Start Menu, Classic Windows File Explorer, and the Classic Desktop Toolbar at the bottom of the Desktop? Not sure all are called Classic but I'd want to have what I am used to as far back as Windows XP or Windows 7.

Also would a Windows 11 Pro be able to join and function correctly in my Network as my other computers do now?

Thanks.
Regards,

maybe try https://sourceforge.net/projects/classicshell/
Thank you. Don't think that will work. It says it was last updated in 2017, but, again, thanks.

Just to be clear, do you use it on Windows 11?

Check out Stardock's Start11. It is not free but is inexpensive.
