Searching for *.xls files modified yesterday

I've been attempting to find a way to search for *.xks file modifies/created yesterday. Win 10 gives me the ability to search for files modified yesterday or *.xls file. Now I need a way of combing the two.

I have given up on using Windows Explorer for searches. I use Everything.
Don't forget the colons, don't add superfluous spaces.

I've never used that syntax before. No files found and I know that at least a half dozen or so where modified yesterday. The file in question is a .csv downloaded and then extra worksheets added to it and saved(not as a .csv) as some name last night. would date created be dc:20230420?

You can't use the syntax proposed by Chris in the Windows search box, that syntax will only work if you use the dedicated search application 'Everything'.

I didn't see your comment when I refreshed. I still didn't find the file I worked on for about an hour last night, maybe I hit the cancel instead of save. You suggestion found all the normal saved files.
