Delete GoToMeeting folder on C drive

Post by jmt356 »

There is a 7 GB folder I found on C: located at \AppData\Local\GoToMeeting.

I do not know what GoToMeeting is. I believe I have seen the logo in the past. Based on online search, it is related to LogMeIn. I found a Support-LogMeInRescue.exe file in my Downloads folder. I believe GoToMeeting might be related to support services by certain software vendors who logged on to my computer in the past to perform technical support, though I am not certain.

Can I safely delete the entire 7 GB GoToMeeting folder on my C drive?
Regards,

JMT

Do you see GoToMeeting in Start > Settings > Apps?

I see GoToMeeting in Start > Settings > Apps along with an uninstall option, but when I type GoToMeeting in my Start menu, it does not show up as an available program.

Not all apps have a Start Menu item.

If you want to be able to use GoToMeeting in the future, leave the app and its folder alone.
If you want to get rid of it, uninstall the app, then check whether the folder that you mentioned still exists (not all apps clean up their AppData folder). If so, you can safely delete it.
Best wishes,
Hans

I uninstalled it and it cleared up 6 GB. I am not even sure how the program got there to begin with.
