I have pinned Windows Explorer to my taskbar, in there, I pinned some folders I use frequently:
As you can see, I have a folder called "Tools". If I hover my mouse over the name, I get the path ("D:\EJ_Temp"). And for many years, this always worked fine.
Now, since a couple of months every time I select a shortcut, one of my programs (LightImageResizer) starts... I tried to remove the shortcuts and re-add (re-pin) them but that did not help. I'm suspecting the Resizer program is hooking into this a bit too deep (and I can contact the authors) but I was wondering if I could fix this myself... Where are the entries stored for example? I could find the pinned items om my taskbar, but not those pinned to pinned items themselves...

Re: Pinned items
Unfortunately, The Quick Access items are stored in a binary file helpfully named f01b4d95cf55d32a.automaticDestinations-ms in %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations.
Does LightImageResizer have a setting to NOT use a shell extension (context menu customization)? If not, I fear you'll have to uninstall LightImageResizer or to get the developer to repair it...

Re: Pinned items
%appdata% = C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming
AppData is a hidden folder, you only see it if you show hidden files and folders in File Explorer, but entering %appdata% in the address bar and pressing Enter should take you there even if you don't show hidden folders.

Re: Pinned items
Try entering
%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
in the address bar of File Explorer and pressing Enter.

Re: Pinned items
That works. Navigating to it does not... Thanks

Re: Pinned items
Update: I contacted the software vendor, they checked and confirmed it was a bug. An updated release issued this week fixed the problem.
