Good old Win 10!
I have an "older" GT610 working on my Win 10 partition, without any obvious problems. Before installing, I did run the Win 10 compatibility check and it more or less said, Go For It!
Have you tried uninstalling the 710 in Device Manager and rebooting to see what device Windows finds on it's own? If not the 710, then manually installing the new card, from it's DVD?
I finally decided to bite the bullet...

Perhaps the old drivers linger and that's what WinX is honking about?
"Hmm. What does this button do?" Said everyone before being ejected from a car, blown up, or deleting all the data from the mainframe.

Toward the bottom of the page at the link Stuart posted, is a button to download the Media Creation Tool. Using that tool has enabled many who had problems with the Windows Update upgrade to get Windows 10 installed. Creating a USB or DVD using the tool and then launching the upgrade from a Windows system eligible to upgrade should result in a valid licensed Windows 10 installation. Do NOT boot using the USB or DVD to do an upgrade for the first time if you want the free upgrade.

It's all installed and working now. It took a long time.
Most things seem to be working OK. I'll create separate threads for the remaining issues...
