Problems with update KB3087040

Update KB3087040 (Flash Player for Internet Explorer 11) fails for most, if not all Windows 10 users. The update has already been withdrawn from the web page (it only mentions the update for Windows 8.1 now). So if you get a notification that installing this update failed, you're not alone.

Is there any word on why it fails? I checked the update history on my main machine and it indicates that KB3087040 successfully installed on September 22. I haven't checked the notebook yet.

For 32-bit Windows 10
For 64-bit Windows 10

It worked for me.

Same here; Straightforward and successful update on 22nd - x64. We're a few of the lucky ones - I guess? :grin:

Failed to install on 2015.09.21, 2015.09.22, 2015.09.23

Successfully installed on 2015.09.23

It looks like Microsoft repaired the bug in the update.
