My boyfriend has an older iphone that he uses not only as a phone, but also a wifi connection to his laptop at his house. The other day when he was over he was browsing the interwebs and his screen suddenly changed in that somebody just hijacked his browser kinda way. He casually mentioned that this happens on occasion and he usually closes the browser and then opens it again.
I don't think this is right. And certainly isn't secure enough to use as a wifi. But that's just me after taking too many security classes. Garbette told me his phone is "compromised and needs to be wiped." Does this make sense? I am concerned that this can't be fixed another way or that something else is going on. And I sure don't want him linking to my wifi with his phone unless it's something that can be solved. Personally I'm an android user forever and have my phone locked down the best I can. Any suggestions?
