Window 8 tablet right-click startscreen (touch)

Post by Cah »

When I use a track pad to right click a tile on the start screen the menu comes up at the bottom. But when I use the touch screen and press and hold down a tile it moves as if it has been clicked but the right-click context bar does not appear at the bottom of the screen. Does anyone know of a fix for this? Touch right-click work correctly on the desktop just not on the start screen. I'm using an Asus Tauchi. Thanks.

Try this:
- Touch and hold the tile.
- Drag it down a short distance (about 1 cm), then up again.
- Release.
Best wishes,
Hans

To access the menu, tap, hold and briefly swipe down on the tile. The menu will pop up at the bottom of the screen.

Thanks to you both, that works. I'm finding swiping hard to get used to.

See these two pages for some techniques to assist in getting used to the swipe actions:
