Why I don't want to go out to The Montreal Deli tonight

Post by ChrisGreaves »

... because I took my jar of dough starter out of the fridge around 1pm, tossed it into a bowl and added 1 cup wholewheat flour, stirred, and went back to work.

It's Friday after noon, right?

The offer for a free supper came at 4pm, but Dang It And Sotheby's! I'm on a roll here, and it's no different from going on holiday. Once the planning is done, I'm there even though I'm really here.
So twenty minutes ago I rolled out the dough, sprinkled oil and flour on the pizza tray, and smeared onto the pastry the best part of a 1-pint jar of meat sauce I made a year ago. I'm getting good at sprinkling dried Oregano flakes directly from the jar.

It's Friday after noon, right?

Some ground almonds keep the oregano company. Betty spilled a packet of almonds on her floor and was going to toss them out, but her floors are cleaner than my kitchen counter, so I brought them home, rinsed off the non-existent dust, dried and ground them.
There are a few chunks of bottled pineapple there, thanks to my friends in Eileen's Lounge, who taught me about heating pineapple to drive out the molecular stuff that I don't like.

But I digress.

Betty buys too many punnets of tomatoes, cherry, I think, so there are some lightly-crushed cherry tomatoes there too.
I'm down to my last three Parmesan cheese shakers now. I can't stand the stuff, but Kimberly left five containers here.
Maybe she didn't like it either.
I like less tossing it out, so I'm eking it away on pizzas.
Somebody has to do it.
What you can't see here is the frying-pan with onion & garlic waiting to go on top.

It's not that I don't like Betty.
She is, after all, swinging by after Coronation Street to take me out to supper at The Montreal Deli.
I just like my home-made pizza too.

It's Friday after noon, right?

And... did you eat all of it?
Best wishes,

Not yet.
I had two slices in bed when I came home from cards (one one, lost one, gained an IBM thinkPad), and popped the rest - of the pizza - into a plastic box for supper tonight.

Shouldn't that be "Win One, lost one"?

Oh.
Yeah.
Maybe that's why she keeps thrashing me at Gin Rummy ...

P.S. Shouldn't that be "Won One, lost one"?
P.P.S. Still and all, I've got more computers than she's got. And that's what counts, right?
