Yes, all we could hear was the sound of the sheep and their lambs (the little whites dots at the bottom of the dale) bleating.

It got better too. A bit further we watched a Barn Owl quartering the dale. We assume it was hunting during the day because it was quite wet last night so didn't fare well in the night and at this time of year it will have chicks to feed. Sorry no photo of the owl. I didn't have my telephoto lens with me.

Sounds fantastic. My outing this morning yielded two young herons on a nest, but nothing nearly as exciting as yours

Today it is warm and sunny again but, alas, I must work today :sad:
