Lunar Eclipse

Post by Graeme »

If anyone is awake at 0230 GMT, has a good view of the Moon, is West of 0° longitude and is interested, there's a Lunar Eclipse happening tomorrow.

Regards

Graeme

This animation reminded me that it is the sun and the moon that share an apparent same size in the matter of eclipses, not the earth.
Check out the time it takes for the full eclipse to travel, i.e the size of the Earth's umbra.
Cheers

Instead of a lunar eclipse, we were treated to thunder and lightning. <sigh>
