I am curious as to why so many of 'our experts' have ended up on this site instead of Woody's? Maybe I missed something in the 'news'?
But nice to be 'home' and good luck with Eileen's.

After the conversion of Woody's Lounge to Windows Secrets Lounge, the Admins found themselves with too much time on their hands ... always a dangerous situation . Reminiscing about the early days of Woody's, we stumbled on the idea of honoring Eileen by creating a new Lounge namesake and trying to recreate the feel, if not the split screen view, of those early days. This is the result, and we're delighted to have old friends find their way here.

I'm not an expert, just a long time hanger on. I for one was very disappointed by the transition from Woody's Lounge to Windows Secrets. I'm very pleased that this new resource was created with the aim of recreating the feel of earlier days, so far so good.

The Windows Secrets Lounge was and is an excellent resource. You can search through a wealth of useful information amassed over more than nine years, and there are many helpful members both new and old. It has become bigger than Woody's Lounge could ever have been.

Eileen's Lounge will never rival that - see it as your friendly neighborhood shop...
Best wishes,
Hans

Hans, you are, as always, the true gentleman. My response would have been more direct and not as kind, I'm afraid.
The wealth of information amassed is by and large from the original crew of Woody's, not from WS or it's current management. IMO.
Weather Eileen's will ever rival it? Maybe not in size but in scope and quality of members...It already HAS. Thank goodness. :fanfare:

Hello all,
I'm not sure who invited me, but thank you. I'm not sure my computer knowledge is such that I can be of much help, but I sure did learn alot from the 'other place' just by reading posts by many of the names I see here.
It's nice to be here :)

Hi Peppurr101,

Think it might have been me that pointed you here, especially if you came in response to a PM on the WS Lounge that pointed you to the URL in various people's WS profiles.

Pull up a PC and join the fun.
