Samantha for pointing out the error of my ways! You get kudos too for being so kind!Samantha wrote:I wish I could take credit for the proper guess, but the applause goes to Hans, who beat me to the post.
I have to make one more post about that picture. My hubby is an avid gardener and he loves onions. I always look forward to the crop he produces because the resulting onions are huge and delicious! To see that tiny rabbit hiding among them was hilarious - to me at least! The rabbit couldn't have been more than a 4-5 weeks old.Samantha wrote:It was my pleasure. Besides, I was flummoxed trying to figure out what plant the bunny was hiding in.

On a lighter note, what do you get if you cross a rabbit and an onion?Spoiler
A bunion
Aloe vera leaves kind of look like onion stalks eh????? ) Way to go Hans for solving yet another riddle...you definitely are the "riddler" I even zoomed it way out and still couldn't figure out if it was supposed to be a tree toad, or walking stick or something else.....fooled meSamantha wrote:I wish I could take credit for the proper guess, but the applause goes to Hans, who beat me to the post.

That's just one little wabbit and one huge onion! I'll see if I can enlarge the little fellow and upload the pic...... There you are! Hope it helps!Catz wrote:Judging from the size of the onions, that has to be a tiny wabbit.
Also it looks like there are two of them, sitting side by side, in the photo.
Glad I could help! The Little Wabbit is very very hard to see!Catz wrote:Thank you. That helps these old eyes.
The wabbit doesn't bother the veggies but he does like to chew on our trees and young bushes which is irritating. We have to put up guards around trees to keep mr. wabbit from girdling the trees and killing them. Usually, the bushes, which often are trimmed to the ground by him - will regenerate but it is a struggle getting those bushes to reach any decent size.Catz wrote:Is the wabbit behaving while it is visiting your veggie patch?
Also, I forgot to mention, those onions look scrumptious. What type are they?
My house sits on an acre of land and for some reason having a green thumb was not in the contract with my maker.
My thumbs are just opposable!
The only thing green that grows on my land is grass (the green kind) which has to be mowed many times in the warmer weather.
Today the only thing growing out there is about two inches of snow. So far! . (Ratz... I hate snow. Soooooooo much.)

Does it have rye bread with Gruyere cheese??? I remember going to my fav pub down in Toledo just to have their french onion soup. It always burnt my rooftop but was the most delicious blending of consommé and vidalia onions....Enjoy your "soup"Skitterbug wrote: BTW, we are going to enjoy French Onion Soup for lunch!

I'm afraid it isn't anything quite that exotic. I like to toast a thick slice of crusty French bread, slab butter on it, put it into the bottom of the bowl, put some provolone cheese on top of the bread and then put the very hot soup on top of both items so the bread soaks up the soup and the cheese melts. That's yummy enough for me.Hey Jude wrote:Does it have rye bread with Gruyere cheese??? I remember going to my fav pub down in Toledo just to have their french onion soup.
