Java will not update

Hi Hans,
Thanks for your reply. Just to update you, all seems to be well following the manual update of both computers. After working with them for over a week, no glitches. I am now convinced that the problem lies with the website and not Java.
As for the photo upload site, the site asks me to run 'an older version of Java' and once I click on ok it runs without a hitch..
I'll stick with it for now and see what shakes out..
