Something to open .ra files

Post by viking33 »

besides Real Player?
I found a couple of old audio files with that extension ( .ra ) but haven't found one of the more popular programs that will open and play them.
Google didn't seem to help.

Try the "Mega" version of K-Lite Codec Pack, as far as I can tell it should let you play .ra files in Windows Media Player, or in the bundled Media Player Classic.
Best wishes,
Hans

Thanks John, for that comprehensive list of extensions. It pointed me back to WMP classic. :thankyou:

Thanks for Hans, for that mega K-Lite Codec Pack. That worked like a charm even though there were a lot of options to take. I took most of the defaults and it also listed a LOT of reg items it said were "broken," and suggested it remove them and I thought, sure go ahead, make my day and it DID. :thankyou:
