Capturing video

Post by silverback »

Has anyone had any experience with or can recommend use of MiniTool Video Converter.
It appears top of a list of Best 10 Free Video Capture Software for Windows 10 and I'm looking for something which will record a YouTube video.
Thanks

It doesn't when I search using 'Best 10 Free Video Capture Software for Windows 10'. In fact I can't find it on any of the lists I get from that search string. That could mean:
- my search is rubbish
- the list it appeared top of was one compiled by the creators of MiniTool Video Converter
- I'm talking rubbish

Make of this what you will

Hmmm. Now I take a more jaundiced view, prompted by your posting, it seems the URL is vidoeconvert.minitool.com, so maybe, just maybe, your supposition is correct.
Any tho but, I still need a recommendation for a youtube video capture product; Hans has said that FastTone, which he uses, is no longer supported and he doesn't recommend finding a copy lurking on a website somewhere, so that's a no-no.

FastStone Capture is still supported, but it is no longer free. It's well worth the modest price though.
Best wishes,
Hans

If what you want is to convert YouTube video to a video file like mp4 then you may want to try this online converter.

https://ytmp3.plus/yt-convert/

It can also extract audio only like mp3 as well.

How? I can't find any info in VLC Media Player Help that tells me how to capture YT videos.
