I recently turned my Macbook to a web server using Apache. As far as I can tell I have everything setup correctly on the Macbook and can view my webpage using "localhost:port number".
I changed my port number to something other the 80 and things work very nice from the Macbook side of things. My Internet Service Provider tells me that port 80 is not being blocked but I changed it anyway. It's when I try to go to the webpage from another laptop via work which has a differnet IPAddress then the Macbook. My DNYDNS account is properly mapped to my IPAddress and I have a green light. So far so good. It is when I type in "mydns.com/~myname" in the Internet Explorer Address bar that I should see my web page but don't.
I'm new to this so please forgive me if I seem to be rambling on.
Any ideas as to why I may be having challenges getting to my website?
Regards,
John

Re: Can't Get To Website
Could this be an issue with your firewall at work, which will probably block the random port number you have selected.
