I don't pretend to fully understand this, nor do I use Bit Locker but, if I did use Bit Locker on my system (which has a Samsung SSD), should I be concerned?

For users of Windows 10 who do use BitLocker, and who have an SSD that supports hardware encryption, the article describes a way to make BitLocker work the way it should instead of relying on the defective hardware encryption.

Or you could ignore bitlocker altogether and use Veracrypt
