Outlook (New)

Post by hlewton »

I just read an article about Microsoft changing Outlook and calling it Outlook (New). Here is a quote from that article,
Outlook desktop (Windows/Mac) customers should not change to Outlook (new) unless they are curious, or want to be an unpaid beta tester, or prefer to downgrade to a lesser Outlook.
Eventually, Outlook (new) will be worth a look. For now, avoid it.
My question is I am using Microsoft 365 and have no desire to change my Outlook, so how can I do as the quote suggests and stick with what I am using now?
Regards,
hlewton

A while ago, a prompt appeared in my Outlook, asking if I wanted to switch to New Outlook. I simply clicked No.
Best wishes,
Hans

But even if you click Yes by accident, there should be an option in the new Outlook to go back to the original version.
Best wishes,

In desktop Outlook there should be a switch at the top right of the app. Make sure it is OFF to keep the current Outlook. See attached.

Thank you Joe but I don't seem to have that switch. Please see attachment. How can I make that switch available?

It will be added automatically when your version of Outlook is updated to enable the switching process.
