Changing the name of Exchange email account in Outlook tree view

Post by jmt356 »

I have an exchange email account set up in Outlook. On the left tree view, the name of the account is displayed as the email address. This is problematic because I have three email addresses that all start with the same letter, so when I press ctrl + y and then type the first few letters of the email address I want to pull up, the other email addresses with the same first few letters comes up. Is it possible to change the names of the email accounts so that rather than displaying the email addresses as the account names, they display the domain or some other name I can give them?
Regards,

JMT

The instructions to use the script are confusing to me. Is there an easier way or a better explanation? I don't think MS should make this so complex.

If you don't to create a script or macro, the 3rd method, using MFCMAPI is probably the easiest route.
